Live selling rules template: MINE, payment deadline, no-pay buyers

House rules you can paste into your pinned comment, so buyers know how to claim, when to pay and what happens if they do not.

The short answer

Pin five short rules before you start: how to claim, one claim per buyer per item, a payment deadline, what happens to unpaid items, and your shipping and returns. Say them out loud at the start of the Live and again halfway.

Why rules matter

A MINE sale moves fast. Without written rules, you end up arguing in the comments about who claimed first, who still owes payment and who gets the item. Rules set expectations before money is involved, and give you something to point to.

The rules to pin

HOW TO CLAIM
1. Comment MINE + item code (example: MINE A07). First valid comment gets the item.
2. One claim per item. Claims without a code do not count.
3. I will confirm your claim by name during the Live.

PAYMENT
4. I will message you your total after the Live. Pay within [24 hours] to [GCash / bank].
5. Send your receipt with your name. Items are reserved only after I confirm the payment in my account.
6. Unpaid items go to the next buyer after the deadline.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
7. Shipping fee: [amount / by area]. Ships within [2 days] of confirmed payment.
8. Returns only for [wrong item / damaged on arrival]. Unbox on video.

PAANO MAG-MINE
1. Mag-comment ng MINE + item code (halimbawa: MINE A07). Una ang valid comment, siya ang makakakuha.
2. Isang claim lang bawat item. Walang code, walang bilang.
3. I-confirm ko ang name mo habang Live.

BAYAD
4. Imi-message ko ang total mo pagkatapos ng Live. Magbayad within [24 oras] sa [GCash / bank].
5. Ipadala ang receipt kasama ang pangalan mo. Reserved lang ang item kapag na-confirm ko na ang bayad sa account ko.
6. Kapag lumampas sa deadline, mapupunta ang item sa susunod na buyer.

SHIPPING AT RETURNS
7. Shipping fee: [halaga / by area]. Ipapadala within [2 araw] pagkatapos ma-confirm ang bayad.
8. Return lang kung [maling item / sira pagdating]. Mag-unbox na naka-video.

Handling no-pay buyers

  1. Send one reminder

A friendly message an hour or two before the deadline. See the reminder template in the Facebook Live selling guide.

  2. Release the item at the deadline

Message the next buyer on your waitlist. Do not hold items open-ended.

  3. Keep a short list

Note buyers who repeatedly claim and do not pay. You can ask them to pay before you hold items next time.

  4. Do not argue in the comments

Point to rule 4 to 6 and move on.

Payment rules that protect you

  • Confirm money in your own account. A receipt is a claim, not proof. See how to spot fake receipts.
  • Ask for the receipt and order name together, so you can match them quickly.
  • Do not take refunds for "overpayments" before checking your account. A common trick is a fake overpayment followed by a request for a real refund.
  • Keep records: your claim sheet, the receipts and shipping proof, in case of a dispute.

Adapt it to your Live

  • Change the deadline to suit your buyers. Shorter works for limited items, longer for pre-orders.
  • If you sell high-value pieces, ask for payment before you hold the item.
  • Keep it short. If rules take more than a minute to read aloud, buyers will not read them.

When claims, receipts and stock outgrow a spreadsheet, a store helps: every order gets a number, stock is counted and receipts stay with the order. See the free store offer for Philippine startups and live sellers.

FAQ

What should live selling rules include?

How to claim (MINE plus item code), one claim per item, a payment deadline, what happens to unpaid items, and your shipping and returns policy.

How long should the payment deadline be?

Many sellers use 24 hours. Use less for limited items and more for pre-orders. Say it out loud and pin it.

What do I do about buyers who claim but never pay?

Send one reminder, release the item to the next buyer at the deadline, and note repeat offenders so you can ask them to pay first next time.

Should I put my payment details in the comments?

Send them privately after the Live. Public comments can be copied and impersonated.
